Smashing Pumpkins frontman William Patrick Corgan has a Rick Rubin-produced new solo album titled Ogilala, due out October 13, 2017 via BMG. Today, Corgan announced that he also wrote and co-directed a film that’s intended to accompany the album. Pillbox is a silent film which is set to the music of Ogilala. Pillbox will be screened in London, Los Angeles, Chicago and New York.

“I thought it was a different approach to listening to an album,” Corgan said in a press release, “to watch it in essence with a related, albeit non-linear, silent movie. Art is art. And together the two pieces create a work unto itself.”

Pillbox was written by Corgan, and directed by Corgan alongside longtime collaborator Linda Strawberry. The film is a Strawberry-Blank Assassin Production and stars Harry Holmes, Rai Quartley, Anna Steers, Kalpana Pot, Hardeep Manak, Los Angela, Paul Seroka, Amelya Hensley, and Ike Catcher.
