UPDATE: This song is no longer available on SoundCloud. Apparently, Dead Cross only published the song for part of St. Patrick’s Day (they called it a “St. Patrick’s Day special” on Facebook).

Dead Cross is the Southern California outfit featuring Mike Patton (Faith No More, a billion other projects), Dave Lombardo (ex-Slayer, Suicidal Tendencies, Misfits), Justin Pearson (The Locust, Retox, Head Wound City) and Michael Crain (Retox, Festival of Dead Deer). Today, the band has shared its first recording since Patton joined the band. The song is ‘Shillelagh,’ listen below.

‘Shillelagh’ is a fast-paced punk ripper with classic Patton vocals. His manic screaming and wailing is layered on multiple tracks; it sounds like a personality disorder over frenzied guitar, bass and drums. The lyrics are hilariously wild too: “I took a pee and it came out red.”
