Chicago indie rock band Deeper have dropped the second single from their forthcoming self-titled debut album (due May 25th on Fire Talk Records). Listen to ‘Pavement’ below; the song combines shimmering, sun-dappled guitars with a pervasive sense of melancholy. ‘Pavement’ follows Deeper’s lead single, ‘Pink Showers.’
Deeper is Nic Gohl (vocals/guitar), Mike Clawson (guitar), Shiraz Bhatti (drums) and Drew McBride (bass). In a press release, the band said: “‘Pavement’ was the first song we wrote as a band. It was written in a basement that was constantly flooding and with ceilings so low that we had to crouch.”
