Eric B and Rakim Announce “We Are Back,” Prepare Reunion Tour

Hip-hop legends Eric B and Rakim are back. The duo – perhaps hip-hop’s greatest duo of all time – tweeted “we are back” and “it’s official” on Thursday (see below). Today, the group tweeted about plans for a tour.

Eric B and Rakim are responsible for classic albums including Paid In Full and Follow the Leader. The duo appeared onstage together in 2010 for their induction into the Long Island Music Hall of Fame. According to that institution’s website, “Eric B and Rakim are well-known for their music during rap’s Golden Age from the mid-80s to the mid-90s and they are widely regarded as the premiere DJ/MC combo.”
