Former Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic has a new band called Giants In The Trees, hailing from Wahkiakum County, Washington. The band has shared their first music video (watch below), for ‘Sasquatch.’ Novoselic plays bass and accordion in Giants in the Trees, which also features Jillian Raye on vocals, Erik Friend on drums, and Ray Prestegard on guitar and harmonica. The band describes its origins thusly: “The band first met for a casual jam in the Skamokawa Grange Hall last spring. The players wasted no time at all composing their first two songs on that first day. They were hooked to the music and a band was born.”
According to Inquisitr, Giants in the Trees are currently recording an album with Jack Endino – producer of Nirvana’s Sub Pop debut, Bleach.
