Jeb Bush Promises to Reunite the Geto Boys if He’s Elected President

The Presidential candidate is a fan of the seminal 'horrorcore' rappers

John Kasich isn’t the only Republican candidate who’s making promises about his favorite band. During an interview with CNN yesterday, Jeb Bush was asked what his first priority would be if he were elected POTUS. Mr. Bush replied:

If I’m president – actually, when I’m president, my first official order of business will be to reunite the Geto Boys for a live performance at my inauguration. I’m talkin’ Scarface, Bushwick Bill, Willie D – the whole crew. My wife and I shared our first dance to ‘Damn It Feels Good to Be a Gangsta’ at our wedding. We gotta get ‘Face and the Boys back together one last time.

The response may have surprised Bush’s fans, who might’ve expected the former Florida Governor to be more of a fan of Richard Marx or John Cougar Mellencamp.

Geto Boys are a seminal rap group from Houston, Texas. They are known for inventing the rap subgenre ‘horrorcore’ and for controversial subject matter including necrophilia. Here’s the group’s 1992 video for ‘Damn it Feels Good to Be a Gangsta’:
