Premiere: Joni Defies Gravity With New Song ‘Airy’

Songwriter Joni Fatora (who records simply as Joni) is perhaps best known for platinum-selling songs she has written for mainstream artists. Recently, Joni’s focus has changed to writing songs for herself. Today, we’re premiering her latest single, ‘Airy’ (listen below). The song’s effortless, breezy melody lives up to the promise of its title.

Joni tells us: “I wrote ‘Airy’ with an old friend and producer, Pat Howard. We both used to live in Miami and I spent a lot of time floating in his pool and playing music. I think unconsciously, the song ended up being a reminder to hold on to that time in my life when things were uncomplicated and light.”

‘Airy’ was recorded in Laurel Canyon. The song is produced by Pat Howard and Noise Club. ‘Airy’ follows Joni’s debut single, ‘Omens.’ Listen to ‘Airy’ here:
