Mike Patton Joins Hardcore Band Dead Cross, Featuring Dave Lombardo

The California hardcore & thrash band Dead Cross have added Mike Patton as vocalist. Dead Cross also includes Dave Lombardo (ex-Slayer, Suicidal Tendencies, Misfits), Justin Pearson (The Locust, Retox, Head Wound City) and Michael Crain (Retox, Festival of Dead Deer). Dead Cross describes itself as “evil vocals, manic guitar riffs, and severe rhythm.”

According to a press release, Dead Cross is currently working on their debut album with a 2017 release coming via Patton’s label, Ipecac Recordings.

Earlier this year, Patton’s former bandmate Trey Spruance told Culture Creature that Patton “has a new hardcore band.” Looks like Dead Cross was the project he was referring to.
