MOURN’s ‘Irrational Friend’ is a Terse, Cathartic Blast of Punk Rock

MOURN are a young punk band band from Barcelona. Their cathartic new song ‘Irrational Friend’ (video below) begins with driving guitars that lure the listener in. Then comes a harsh vocal blast that’s likely to blow your hair back.

‘Irrational Friend’ is a cut from the band’s second LP, Ha, Ha, He., out now on Brooklyn label Captured Tracks. The band consists of Carla Pérez Vas, Jazz Rodríguez Bueno, Antonio Postius and Leia Rodríguez. Fun facts about MOURN: they really love P.J. Harvey and they have a song called ‘Boys Are Cunts.’
