Neil Hamburger Should Be the Next Colonel Sanders

Here's why KFC should hire America's funnyman

Kentucky Fried Chicken has recently hired a rotating cast of standup comedians to portray its founder and corporate mascot, Colonel Sanders. Norm MacDonald played the role and so did Jim Gaffigan. Gilbert Gottfried wants the gig too. But KFC has overlooked the perfect comedian for the job: America’s funnyman, Neil Hamburger.

Hamburger would be perfect because he has been singing KFC’s praises for years. He’s got KFC material in his standup routine: “Why does Colonel Sanders keep the 11 herbs and spices of Kentucky Fried Chicken’s original recipe a secret? Because he’s ashamed of them.” Then, consider his following KFC-themed tweets:

Let’s hope the famed chicken purveyor makes the right decision. This one’s a no-brainer.
