TBS is developing a half-hour scripted comedy based on the life of the Notorious B.I.G., according to the Hollywood Reporter. The show, titled ‘Think B.I.G.,’ will use the slain rapper’s semi-autobiographical lyrics as inspiration.
“‘Think B.I.G.’ arrives as hip-hop continues to be a popular theme on the scripted side following the success of Fox’s ‘Empire,” the Reporter notes. Netflix also recently launched the hip hop origins show ‘The Get Down.’

The project is being produced by Mass Appeal – in partnership with Biggie’s mother, Voletta Wallace, of Notorious B.I.G. Inc. Hopefully Ms. Wallace’s involvement means that the material will be respectful of the rap icon’s music and legacy.
