
PANICKER is the moniker of Brent Asbury, whose debut self-titled LP is due via Justin Pearson’s Three One G Records on May 26th. According to Asbury, PANICKER is an attempt at “blending aspects of EBM, industrial, techno and hip hop with the intensity and heart of punk, metal, and horror films.” Today we’re premiering the track ‘Perfume,’ listen below.
Asbury is a storied musician and collaborator; he has performed with Rob Crow in Pinback and Goblin Cock and worked on records by The Locust, Retox and Michael Bolton. While describing the inspiration for PANICKER to Brooklyn Vegan, Brent explained that these songs are “odes to specific personal anxieties.” Listen to ‘Perfume’ here, with album art and track listing below:
