UPDATE: It appears that this parody song and site have been removed from the web due to an infringement notice from Warner Bros.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers have promised fans a new song due to release tomorrow, but it looks like some satirists have beat them to the punch. A site called rhcp2016.com is up with a spoof song (listen below). The song claims to be the band’s new single, ‘Dark Necessities.’ The video description says the new album is called CaliMOREnication while the video itself says the title is ReCalifornication. The song’s hamfisted lyrics include the line “Funky monks, we live in California.”

Was this song made by Jon Daly and composer Cyrus Ghahremani – who trolled the 2014 SuperBowl with rhcp2014.com and ‘Abracadabralifornia’?
