Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross have released their first new song since their Golden Globe-nominated score for 2014’s Gone Girl. The song, ‘Juno’ (listen in iTunes), was recorded to celebrate NASA’s Juno Mission; Juno is the name of the NASA spacecraft that is scheduled to enter Jupiter’s orbit on the 4th of July (Monday). The nearly nine-minute song features the icy, contemplative soundscapes that the Oscar-winning duo excel at. Consequence of Sound reports that ‘Juno’ even includes actual audio recordings of electromagnetic ‘voices’ generated by Jupiter.
