'City Lights' was recorded during sessions for 2005's 'Get Behind Me Satan'

Jack White has come back down to Earth after playing the first vinyl record in space (actually, the Third Man Records vinyl player technically only reached Earth’s stratosphere, but I digress). The Detroit songsmith is preparing to release a 26-track compilation of acoustic material, titled Jack White Acoustic Recordings 1998–2016 (due September 9th via White’s Third Man Records).

White Stripes fans should take note of the band’s previously-unheard track ‘City Lights’, included on Acoustic Recordings. According to White, the track was recorded during sessions for the White Stripes’ 2005 release Get Behind Me Satan. Listen here:
